“Listen and pay attention: enjoy this time of your life. Really enjoy it and appreciate it.” These wise words were told to me by a very crucial person in my life, my hairdresser. I still remember the day that I arrived at Tuks. I  smoked 25 cigs a day and still had illusions that I was always going to weigh the same I did in matric. I was terrified and excited.

Varsity is truly amazing and overwhelming. You will have your heart broken, lose friends, gain friends, get “motherlessly” drunk at least once and die of embarrassment the next day with a babbelas. You will be deeply disappointed in people and be greatly impressed by people. You will be absolutely convinced that what you are studying is the hardest degree at Tuks.

Please enjoy yourselves. Visit Oom Gert’s habitually but mind the Zappa and your studies.
